How Old is a Hero?

This theatrical performance is being brought to us by the Smithsonian Associates Discovery Theater troupe, in honor of Black History month.
“This original touring production introduces us to young heroes of the Civil Rights Movement, who aided in changing the world. We’ll meet Ernest Green of the Little Rock Nine, who was the first student to graduate from an integrated high school; Claudette Colvin, the 15 year old who refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus (nine months before Rosa Parks); and Ruby Bridges, who won equal rights before she could even read. Beautifully acted and written, this production will take our children through the journey of these three young activists, whose stories of struggle and hope to overcome adversity, will definitely inspire”.
